Turning Inward

At the moment of
turning inward, time
loses its grip. There is
only the press of palm
against palm, the reach
and stretch of limbs,
the sound of breath
slipping out and in
to deliver its gift.
Energy follows focus,
body bowing low, arms
and fingers tingling.
When I let awareness
and sensation lead,
mystery enfolds me.
